If Philadelphia’s Ballroom at the Ben looks familiar, it may be because you saw it in the movie Silver Linings Playbook. Yes, you can have your first dance at the site of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence’s dance competition. We love photographing those first dances from the mezzanine, which gives a wide perspective of everything that has led up to this day. In one photo you can capture all of the people most important to you, the decor that you spent hours planning, and a freeze frame of your first dance as husband and wife. The main stairway leading into the ballroom is perfect for family and couple photos. Capturing the couple coming down the steps as they are introduced at the reception leads to epic photos of a grand entrance that perfectly kicks off the party that is about to begin. There are a variety of other great photo locations both nearby and within the building. The mezzanine that overlooks the main lobby allows you to get grand indoor photos, and it’s only a short limo ride to Broad Street for that iconic view.
